November Camp Out: Marengo Cave (11/7-11/8) ***CANCELLED***

As a result of the 7th and 8th grade classes at St. Albert being in quarantine due to possible COVID-19 exposure, we have fallen below the minimum number of participants required to keep our reservation at Marengo Cave.  We will discuss the possibility of an alternate activity for this month at the next troop meeting.  The Marengo Cave camp out may be rescheduled for a future month.

Order of the Arrow Ordeal (11/13-11/14)

For those elected to the OA, you now have to attend an ordeal induction weekend. The lodge has one last of these weekends scheduled at Camp Crooked Creek for Nov 13th-14th. A packing list and registration can be found here: http://nguttitehen.org/nguttitehen/2020-mini-ordeal-candidate-registration/. For this event, check in begins at 7:30 PM Friday evening and plan to finish no later than 8:00 PM Saturday evening. If someone cannot make this weekend, they have up to a year to attend an induction weekend. There are usually have 4 different weekends a year and will be releasing our 2021 calendar later this year.

Scouting for Food (11/20)

We will conduct our annual Scouting for Food collection of canned goods throughout the St. Albert neighborhood on Saturday, November 21st.  We will meet in the St. Albert parking lot at 9:00 AM to assign pickup routes.

Please mark this date on your calendar, as we will need maximum participation by all of our Scouts for this very important service activity!  The pickup should take approximately one hour, and we will NOT be counting or sorting donated items this year.

Troop Treasurer and Other Open Committee Positions

After many of faithful years of service to the Troop, Sally Harper has decided to hang up her green eyeshades and retire as Troop Treasurer.  Words cannot adequately express our gratitude to Sally for all of her help and guidance over the years.  Sally, Mike and Patrick will always be part of the Troop 327 family, and we wish her well in all her future endeavors!

We would also like to thank Paula Gyimesi for answering the call to step in as our new Troop Treasurer!  We still have open adult leader positions for a Fundraising Chair and Outdoor Activities Chair.  If any parents or other adults would be interested in either of these two open positions, or in taking on a more active role in Troop, please reach out to Mark Hiland or Chris Kappesser.
